Imperial Rye Ale aged in Rye Whiskey barrels with cherry added. Other adjuncts are brown sugar, nutmeg, orange peel, and cinnamon. The finished product has an underlying sweetness that dances below the spicy and herbal notes, truly reconstructing the flavors of the original.

If you’re in the mood for a roasty, rustic ale, Banner American Rye will not disappoint. This interpretation is dark mahogany in color and has a complex, soft malt character throughout. Earthy, piney American hops finish it off perfectly to compliment the spicy Rye notes.

This ale is made with Danko Rye from Valley Malt in Hadley, MA. Simcoe hops burst out of the glass with tangy peach, figs and green plums. Balanced bitterness and earthy malt joins in with Danko Rye for a light breadiness and smooth finish.

Not that long ago, all beer was smoked, but as malting technology improved smoked beer fell out of favor almost everywhere. But in and around Bamberg, Germany (in Franconia the northern part of Bavaria), traditional smoked beer lives on, and, damn, it’s tasty. We’ve modeled our smoked black rye lager after our favorite examples of the style, which have a delicate smoke flavor, but we’ve made it our own by adding generous amounts of heavily-roasted malts, and loads of noble hops.

A high gravity IPA brewed with 18% rye malt. Hop Rod Rye has a floral hop aroma and subtle caramel notes with a slightly earthy and spicy rye character.

There is no doubt variety is the spice of life and we love going off in all kinds of directions looking for new flavors. Like all travel though at some point your heart turns back toward home. Home, robust American ales. This route travels along a path of piney American hops, Simcoe, Cluster, and Horizon their natural course coaxed toward spicy by a touch of rye. Drink Red Rye Returning because home is where the hops is.

The spicy, floral characteristics from the toasted rye malt and West Coast hops in our Rye Ale are accentuated when aged in Rye Whiskey barrels. The barrel’s charred oak then works to offset the spiciness by adding hints of caramel and molasses for even more complexity and robust flavor. Best news is: this exclusive release only gets better with age.

After years of tinkering with small batch, we went all in on this barrel fleet. Hundreds of Woodforde Reserve Rye barrels from and Widow Jane Bourbon barrels house the precious liquid that makes up Sixpoint’s second ever network wide barrel-aged release.

Our “Evil Rye” Schwarzbier (black lager) is brewed with 50% rye malt and chocolate rye. Dark, crisp and smooth with a spicy rye finish.

Timekeeper is filled with overtones of juicy tropical fruits & undertones of pine, citrus, and a subtle hint of dank notes. Finishes perfectly bitter while still being relatively soft and refreshing.

Why Rye? This assertively flavorful grain is more often associated with whiskey than with ales. Even in that arena, it has largely been eclipsed by corn and barley, the sources of bourbon and scotch. But when we procured some seasoned barrels from our friends at Templeton Rye, we asked ourselves, “Why not?” Why not brew a rich, tawny rye ale, then mellow it in the warmth of charred oak rye whiskey casks? Two kinds of malted rye provide spicy sweetness, giving way to notes of caramelized wood and the citrusy tang of Citra and Ahtanum hops before easing into a dry, lingering finish.

Deep ruby red in color, this Hoppy American Red Ale brewed with Rye malt speaks to the hop-head in us all. Twelve percent of the malt bill consisting of rye malt lends an earthiness that compliments and balances the big caramel, chocolate and toasty malt flavors. Ale Industries carbonates their beers with some ˜English style' to bring out more of the flavor and aroma so it'll be a little less carbonated than you'd typically expect.

One Goal, One Rye’d is brewed in support of cancer research. This Rye Pale Ale offers up a bit of spice from the malt that pairs nicely with notes of lemon and grapefruit. $1.00 from each six pack sold ­and $1.00 from each taproom goes directly toward Pelotonia’s goal of ending cancer once and for all.

This tasty Red Rye Winter Ale is deliciously balanced with flavors of sweet malt and a slight spice from the rye. With piney notes of Juniper Berries that are added to the boil with just the right amount of Cascade and Chinook Hops,
