Brewed once a year, and only available while supplies last, Oktoberfest Bier is the pinnacle of German brewing: deep golden color, full-bodied and wonderfully mellow, with a balanced harmonious taste and the pleasant fragrance of hops.

The Munich Beer Festival, or Oktoberfest, is an event of superlatives - it’s the largest popular festival in the world, staging in the beer metropolis of Munich. Millions of visitors from all over the world flock along every year to enjoy its very special atmosphere. For this occasion, Hofbräu brews a rich, full-bodied beer which goes down ideally with traditional Bavarian cuisine. With its deliciously bitter taste and alcoholic content of 6.3% volume, Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier is as special as the Beer Festival itself.

Ancient timelines talk of dark days, plagued by hardships and Kingdom demands. When hope was all but lost, a legend emerged. A plumber. With copper pipes and an uncanny wit, he battled fierce foes and saw to the brewery’s opening. Our Octoberfest is malty, smooth and exceedingly drinkable. It is perfect to celebrate and honor today’s legends. We use locally grown wheat from MA, Munich malt and noble hops.

Hacker Pschorr Original Oktoberfest makes any celebration authentic! Original Oktoberfest has a nose of black currents and earth, with a malt driven flavor expertly balanced by Hallertau hops.

Ayinger Oktober Fest Märzen has a deep golden color tinted with amber. It is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. Its medium to big body and alcohol is not overpowering. The soft dryness comes from long maturation.

Paulaner’s Oktoberfest Märzen is available all year but was made for the Oktoberfest celebration. This full-bodied bier with its rich malt flavor and dark toffee notes, has an underlying fruitiness and masterful hop balance.

Steinbier celebrates classic German festbiers. We brew it exclusively with German malts and hops, and then lager it in tanks for six weeks per German tradition. It sips full-bodied and clean, with hearty flavors of fresh bread and a refreshing zip of noble hops. Your treat in a stein every time - prost!

This German-style Oktoberfest is a modern take on the traditional fall brew, bringing together Los Angeles street style and beer with the custom design from Steven Harrington. Medium-bodied, nice and caramelly with a smooth finish.

Prost Märzen is a deep orange, malty lager. Originally, it was brewed in March (Maerz). In the days before refrigeration, this was the last month to brew before the weather was too warm. Later, the Oktoberfest celebration was the perfect event to drink the last of the Maerz beer and start brewing again. Starting in the 1970’s the Munich brewers started making paler versions of the Oktoberfest biers. The beer now is a kicked up Helles bier brewed to a slightly higher gravity. At Prost we make a more traditional Märzenbier. Our Märzenbier is orange in color, with a rich malt profile from the abundant use of Vienna and Munich malts.

Blink and you’ll think you’re in Bavaria. We went all in on tradition with our Oktoberfest, using imported German malts and hops with a beautiful lager yeast for the finish. Pours a gorgeous copper hue with a rich, malty and slightly sweet backbone. Our version is akin to the beer poured in the early days of Oktoberfest and, yes, it adheres to the Reinheitsgebot. Prost!

Complex and malty while still being dry and crisp, our Märzen-style lager is a celebration of the crisp weather of autumn. Prost!

Notes: Layered biscuit, molasses, savory sage, subtle smoke, earthy This is our first collaboration and meant to celebrate the season, the harvest, and the small farms that make local agriculture possible. We partnered with our farming neighbors, Moutoux Orchard, to create this Imperial Märzen made with smoked sweet potatoes, sage, and brown sugar. The name, Rauch Tater, hints at our approach to this beer. With a wink to northern Bavarian Rauchbier, which uses smoked malt for often deep smokey flavors, we opted for a subtle smoke component — more earthy than smokey— as a guidepost for the flavors to meet. Instead of smoked grain, the sustainably-grown sweet potatoes from Moutoux Orchard were smoked at our farm with local apple and cherry wood. The sweet potatoes were then put in the 100% Virginia grain mash with local sage. The waft of smoke provides an earthy taste that connects the malt and molasses with a velvety mouthfeel from the sweet potatoes. This is capped with a savory and dry finish at the top, thanks to the sage.

Old Style Oktoberfest is a classic Märzen, brewed with traditional German malts and hops to create a complex, full body with a clean finish. This limited edition seasonal is brewed out of the original G. Heileman brewery in La Crosse, WI.

The character and complexity of Harpoon Octoberfest comes from the malt and hops. When looking at a freshly poured Harpoon Octoberfest, you will notice the garnet-red color with a firm, creamy head. The beer’s color is from a blend of Munich, chocolate, and pale malt. The thick head results in part from wheat malt added to the grist. The hop aroma of this beer is not overpowering but it is present. Tettnang hops add a subtle spice nose that blends with the malt character. This beer is full-bodied, smooth, and malty. Willamettehops are used to provide a gentle bitterness and to balance any residual sweetness present from the malt. The finish is soft and malty with a mild bitterness.

Brewed in March and lagered through summer, Oktoberfest (Marzen) is lager brewed to be enjoyed in the fall. It’s copper in color with a rich malty backbone and mild hop profile. Because traditional Oktoberfest and Breast Cancer Awareness Month loosely coincide, a percentage of the sales of OHB’s Oktoberfest is donated to a Breast Cancer Awareness Charity.

DC Brau's Oktoberfest has a classic light amber to copper hue that is topped with intense German malt aromas of toasty bread, light caramel and faint biscuit.
