Live-Oak-Hefeweizen
Live Oak Hefeweizen is modeled after the classic wheat beers of Bavaria, HefeWeizen is cloudy and straw-colored with a meringue-like head that lingers to the bottom of the glass. Brewed with equal parts wheat and barley malts and few hops, this beer features a unique yeast strain that produces harmonious notes of clove, banana, and vanilla. A proper execution of the classic style, this idiosyncratic Bavarian style is perfectly at home here in Texas.

Ayinger-Brau-Weisse
Delicious lemon and vanilla scented wheat beer with yeast. This is an aristocratic beer with a champagne sparkle and a beautifully sustained head. With the pale color of mountain honey and tart refreshing palate, it is a "brut" beer with the delicious, complex fruitiness of extra-dry champagne. Bottle conditioned and top fermented, it is a benchmark for this style of beer. The nose is fruity-spicy, herbaceous with lots of flowers, and fruit. With such a creamy head, you can build miniature mountains that resemble the Alps. Pour slowly, fill the special weissbier glass half full and swirl the bottle on the table to put the yeast in suspension.

It also fits his new beer. This hefeweizen really puts the pedal to the metal. No Limits is a fitting name for Two Roads new brew. No Limits (5% ABV) pours a hazy sunny gold. A plethora of tiny bubbles rise to the surface to create a thick creamy head. All that foam grabs the sides of the glass and leaves behind a nice layer of loose lacing. The aroma is sweet and wheaty with hints of banana and clove. The mouthfeel is remarkable. It’s the first thing I noticed when I took my first sip. It is light and cool with loads of tingly bubbles. I could drink a lot of a beer that goes down so easy. Mmm, so dangerous in such a wonderful way. Thank goodness for the very sessionable ABV! The flavor is slightly sweet and pleasantly wheaty. I especially like the fact that the wheat is somewhat understated. That makes room for the essence of clove and banana and - what’s that? - a whisper of bubblegum to come forth. The finish is clean with nary a trace of bitterness.

Traditional Hefeweizen from Germany usually taste like cardboard because by the time you drink them, they?re not fresh anymore. Chuck brews Heinnieweisse with Bavarian yeast and a 67% wheat grist approximately 5000 miles closer to your mouth than Germany giving it a rich, fully fresh palate. Pour it and see the wheat cloudiness, smell the notes of estery aroma. At 4.9 % abv you?ll taste the effervescent, sweet yet tart freshness that no farty old German can boast. And what does an Alien have to do with any of this? Ever notice how a hop looks like an Alien?s head? Look again.
