Lost Highway Imperial Black IPA is a robust imperial IPA that balances the malt characteristics with 100 IBUs of bitterness and finishes with roast and coffee flavors from the Black Patent malt. This big, balanced beer drinks smoothly.

Bridge Road Brewers together with gypsy brewer Mikkel Borg Bjergsø of Mikkeller created a one off brew one Friday evening of March 2012. The result is The Dark Harvest. Inspired by the timing of the collaboration, it was decided to make a dark beer, using locally grown fresh hops. Of several research hops being grown at Rostrevor Hop Garden, one variety stood out for selection and was harvested just hours before being added to this beer.

Hoppy Feet has been lovingly crafted by combining premium malt with lots of Amarillo and Columbus hops. Grapefruit and Pine are balanced on the nose and on the palate by a nutty, dark chocolate, roasted backbone.

Intergalactic Black Cascadian Incredible Pale Ale Pushing the boundaries of style and definitions: the extreme flavours of Galaxy hops mix with a rich, dark malt base.

Whether you are celebrating lost cities under the sea or shooting for low Earth orbit, take Atlantis along for the ride. We use a special blend of dark malts and add Galaxy, Cascade, and Calypso hops to create this smooth and hoppy black ale with just a whisper of cherry-wood smoke. We think Poseidon would approve.

A collaboration beer with our friends at Fernet-Branca, brewed with a trove of botanicals including rhubarb root, saffron, angelica, star anise and 14 others.

From the blackest depths of the brewhouse comes Damien, Child of Darkness. Spawned from the usually discarded remnants of Darkness, Damien is a dry-hopped black ale. Flavors of roasted malt and dark brown sugar suffocated by aromas of tangerine and pine.

The tenacious grip of big, juicy hop aroma and character slides smoothly into rich, dark malts. This heavyweight battle between fresh, Yakima Valley hops and dark, roasted malts is resolved harmoniously as the flavors merge to deliver complex satisfaction with a warming edge. This dark brew is a very unique creation originally conceived at home by one brewer. It is a combination of styles that came from his love of Stouts and Porters coupled with his thirst for bitterness and aroma found in an IPA. It is an IPA with a heart of darkness, an India Black Ale.

Southern Tier Iniquity is an Imperial Black IPA, which is also called an Imperial India Brown Ale. This is a style that seems to be increasing in popularity. The hexagram talisman has been used around the world for centuries to invoke magic and good luck. Wishes of good fortune often collaborate with the brewer’s creative to yield dramatic results. We carefully chose the name for this Imperial IBA, Iniquity - a word opposing goodness. Why? This beer is contrary to what one might expect from an IPA; this is an ale as black as night. It is the antithesis of Unearthly. Some may consider it an immoral act to blacken an ale. We suggest they don’t rely on conventional standards. Allow the darkness to consume you. Iniquity weighs in at 9% alcohol by volume. It uses four different hops and 2-row pale malt along with debittered black malt in it’s brewing.

The Alpine Black IPA made its debut at the Vermont Brewers Festival in Burlington, Vermont in July. It was intended to be a one-off pilot batch and quickly evolved into an instant favorite. To appease demand we have decided to release it as our new Otter Creek Winter Seasonal. Those who attended the VBF were lucky to get a sneak tasting of this incredible brew. Since then it has been the buzz around town.

Double Black Rye IPA (Midnight Hoppyness) - This one clocks in at 9.5 % ABV and over 100 IBU’s. This one will also be available in bottles soon. Will be named Midnight Hoppyness.

The Mothman Black IPA is a hop forward, medium bodied black ale. The strong hop flavor is from the use of the choicest Pacific Northwest hops; lending to a balanced bitterness of citrus and hints of floral. The German 2-row and English Crystal malts offer a touch of roasted toffee and chocolate. At 6.7% abv and 71 IBU’s, this Black IPA promises to satisfy any hophead.

Danny Black is an interestingly hoppy, dark brown almost black IPA that is brewed with centennial and citra hops. It will now be offered year-round. The brew is inspired by the great IPA acceptance and further desire for dark brown, porter, and stout beers with hoppy undertones. Brewed to just more than 6 percent ABV and served in a traditional Irish tulip pint glass, the Danny Boy Beers offer to the craft market a nicely robust flavor of craft brews for the session able sports pub crowd. This is a perfect complement to their Training Day Hop forward Pale Ale

Blakkr Imperial Black Ale was born in 2014 as a collaboration between Surly, 3 Floyds, and Real Ale. Bonded by their love of brewing and love of metal, this unholy trinity of brewers gathered around a brew kettle in Blanco, TX to craft this deeply dark concoction. Subtle dark malt and toffee character quickly yields to the citrus and tropical notes provided by a staggering amount of hops. The result is a crushing, black-as-night Double IPA. All hail the mighty BLAKKR!

This is Joey, a slightly perturbed koala. He’s upset because he applied to be a brewer and didn’t get the job. It wasn’t that he sleeps twenty hours, he just didn’t have the right koalafications. This black IPA was brewed with Lapsang Souchong, a smoked black tea. This addition gives a smokey complexity that pairs with the tea and citrus hop notes.
