Gran-Patrón-Smoky
Gran Patrón Smoky pushes the boundaries of tequila with its double distillation, tahona process, aging, and now smoking. This exquisite silver spirit is crafted by roasting agave with mesquite for about seven days in small underground stone pits at the Patrón Hacienda. The result of this ancient, labor intensive method is an artisanal ultra-premium tequila with a perfectly balanced, very complex smoky flavor. This ultra-premium smoky tequila is housed in a bottle that’s both refined and distinctive with an elongated look. As an ode to the roasting process that makes this unique tequila, the bottle is topped with a wooden stopper as the suggestion of smoke climbs the front label. Smooth and sweet with smoked agave, citrus and fruity notes with a long, peppery finish. Its unique aroma features vegetal (artichoke) and medium alcoholic notes with pepper, spices and hints of sweet citrus.

Fuenteseca Extra Añejo 7 Year: The AAD bottling was distilled in late 2005 and laid into barrel in February, 2006. 100% of the tequila was distilled in copper and stainless steel alembic pot stills. 80% of the run was stored in American white oak previously used to age California red wine, and the remaining 20% barreled in used dark French Oak. The casks were then stored for 7 years, at 3,800” elevation, in the town of Tequila, Jalisco in a cool-climate subterranean storeroom. Master distiller Enrique Fonseca has determined that 42% ABV is the optimal proof for this soft-spice 7 year bottling.
