A classic Belgian favourite, the Cassis is a Lambic made from local barley, unmalted wheat, and wild yeast. After spontaneous fermentation, the Lambic is aged in oak and blackcurrants are added, creating a secondary fermentation and yielding an ale of exceptional flavour and complexity. Deep reddish purple in colour Off-white head with good lacing Balanced sweet blackcurrant and tart acidity on the nose and palate Pairs well with venison, roasted pork, scones, New York cheesecake and fresh fruit Best served chilled to 2 - 3°C
