Chase distillery is Britain’s first single-estate distillery, based in Herefordshire, United Kingdom. Owner and founder William Chase, alongside his sons James Chase and Harry Chase, run the Chase farm-to-bottle distillery producing vodka, gin and liqueurs using ingredients sourced on-site at Rosemaund Farm.
As the former owner and founder of Tyrells Crisps, William Chase realized that he could use potatoes to produce vodka. In 2008, he decided to convert one of his barns into a distillery. Chase Vodka is the only potato-based vodka produced in England and serves as the base for Chase Smoked Vodka, Chase Marmalade Vodka and Chase Elderflower Liqueur.
Chase Smoked Vodka is made using traditional copper pot distilling methods by blending down the award winning Chase Vodka with Herefordshire's finest oak-smoked water. The smoked water is made using water from a borehole and sits in the coolest part of the smokehouse for 5 days in order to pick up a delicate, sweet, ashy and smoky flavor. It then passes through a natural, mild filter to ensure no impurities are gathered from the wood particles. The smoked water then gets combined with Chase Original Vodka for a period of around 7 days, creating a fantastic new taste with a smooth and soft finish.
