Medium bright ruby in color, the nose is forthright, with good grape-y raspberry fruit, some pepper, and oaky notes. Light to Medium bodied, with light tannin, there is a good amount of peppery acidity. Open knit flavors of raspberry, pepper, oak, and hints of earth have good intensity and an easy drinking quality. The finish is of a piece, with a bit of grit and slight bitterness.
