Powerful dark fruit aromas of blackberry, wild fig and cassis infuse with floral and herbaceous notes of violet, tea leaf and sage. The wine is full-bodied and creamy in texture, showing highly polished tannins and a tremendous depth to its earthy, dark fruit flavors. Supple and densely packed tannins combine with seamless minerality to draw out the palate to a rich, long-lasting finish.
Blue Mountain Estate Vineyard is one of the highest elevation vineyards in the Walla Walla Valley. It produces cool, dark and complex fruit profiles with signature rich, supple tannins. Cabernet blocks were harvested in late October with intense color, concentrated fruit flavors, and fully developed phenolics. Gentle handling through fermentation, followed by an extended time on skins, produced a deeply structured and expressive wine, worthy of its 24-month extended bottle maturation prior to release.
