A small crop produced an intensely flavored wine in this 2011 Pinot Noir from Testarossa. The cool growing season was spared the fall rains in 2011, and the grapes were able to reach full maturity late in the season. The grapes were hand sorted before a cool and careful fermentation at Testarossa. The wine was aged in 46% new French oak before bottling. From winemaker Bill Brosseau: "The 2011 SLH release is a classic example of Pinot Noir from the Highlands - ripe black cherry and plum flavors, with a full mid-palate and a light touch of spicy oak on the finish. The trademark bright acidity makes the wine incredibly versatile for food-pairing."
