The Siduri Sonoma County Pinot Noir is a blend of 5 different vineyards scattered throughout Sonoma County. From Sonoma Mountain we sourced fruit for this wine from the Van der Kamp Vineyard, a vineyard we have used since 1996. From the Sonoma Coast we used fruit from the Sonat-era Vineyard and in the Russian River Valley we included vineyards at the northern end of the AVA; the Lewis, Elsbree and Bucher Vineyards.
Many of you will recognize these sites as they often make up single-vineyard wines for us. That’s part of what makes this Sonoma County Pinot Noir stand out from other entry-level Pinot Noirs. We selected barrels from all of these vineyards that fit together especially well, blending them together as one lot in the Spring and then bottling them, without fining or filtration.
