This sake is sake history itself. Brewed by the oldest active brewery in Japan, founded in 1147, its current president is a 55th generation family owner. It is one of those "Biblical" sakes. A refreshingly light nose mixed with banana, koji rice and cotton candy, it's full of ripe fruit flavors in a delicious chewy package. Bordering on syrupy, it drinks surprisingly dry. There is a nice backdoor taste of anise. A very good sake for those looking to make the leap from expressive wines.
