At Roth, we believe that the quality of wine we produce is only as good as the fruit we start with. That’s why for our 2012 Pinot Noir we chose fruit from four of the finest vineyards in the Sonoma Coast region. The wine offers a fragrant perfume of summer spices, violets, and dark cherries. It is ripe and juicy, laced with notes of bing cherry, raspberry, and sweet vanilla. This wine is deep, powerful, and complex - a perfect example of cool-climate Pinot Noir
In almost all respects, 2012 proved to be a textbook vintage. We had great fruit set and little rain during a steady, moderate growing season. Unlike recent vintages, 2012 was virtually free from the extreme amounts of rain and heat of consequence. The wines have great uniformity, outstanding balance, and mature tannins.
