The Veglio family farm was purchased in 1931 from Senator Como from Rome, who was part of the first group to officially create ‘Barbaresco’ as a wine. Roccalini was the name given to this hill and beautiful cru that overlooks the Tanaro River and Alba to the south, the Roero to the west and the famous tower of Barbaresco just to the north.
