Matured in used American and French oak. Exceptionally deep purple-crimson for a wine at this price, and the flavour does not tell fibs; it is loaded with black fruits, and is a classic now (with barbeque beef or ox) or in 10 years time (slightly smaller serve of beef). Terrific value for the carnivore set of which I'm commander-in-chief. 92 pts. Drink by 2013. Great value
