Querceto Di Castellina Podaliro Toscana

Named after the striking Podalirio species of butterflies (also known as the Swallowtail), our single-varietal Merlot made its introduction to our range of wines back in late 90s. This is a terroir-driven Merlot that surely gets more beautiful with age. A powerful Super Tuscan with a dark, intense color and a nose dominated by notes of blackberry and blueberry with aromatics of dried flowers, and a noble spiciness of pepper, cocoa and vanilla. The palate is full with soft tannins, a long finish and a lingering taste of wild berries.
