Established in 2000, Quinta da Garrida is located in Vila Nova de Tazem, near Serra de Estrela, the highest mountain in Portugal. Their three hundred acre estate is planted mostly with traditional Portuguese grape varietals, which thrive in the distinctive terrior of the Dao. Alianca "Quinta da Garrida" Tinto is a complex, fruit-forward blend of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Jaen, which has been matured in French and Russian oak for twelve months. Elegant notes of ripe blackberry and plum are complemented by hints of mocha, spice and smoke which linger through the finish.
