Lancers White is a semi-sweet wine produced from a blend of fine white Portuguese grape varieties. This light, fresh and slightly fruity versatile wine can be enjoyed on its own or with salads, fish and shellfish. Lancers was launched in the US in 1944 after Henry Behar visited Portugal with the purpose of finding a wine that appeals to the American palate. The wine was named Lancers in tribute to the painting "Las Lanzas" by Velazquez, a favorite of Mr. Behar.
The best Portuguese grape varieties make this wine light, fresh, and slightly fruity. It goes well with a variety of cuisines, or can be enjoyed alone for a relaxing treat! Delicious on its own or enjoy with salads, seafood, fish or Mexican and Italian dishes. Serve chilled.
