Grenache (Dry Grown) 90%, Shiraz 10%
Produced from the old bush vine Grenache planted by Colin Hugo in 1951. This low yielding 4 Acre block produces distinctive fruit with soft raspberry characters. Only the best selected rows are handpicked and blended with the pepper and plum of Hugo estate grown shiraz to produce this silky smooth hand crafted wine.
The spicy flavours flow to the palate with some savoury notes as well as dark ripe brooding fruit characters. The flavour lingers with silky and rounded tannins.
Fragrant and lifted aromas of mixed toasted spice and gingerbread combine with the berry and cherry fruit to provide lovely complexity.
