Twenty-five years ago, Conundrum White broke new ground as a blend that was exotic, versatile and wholly original. In 2011, winemaker Charlie Wagner II launched Conundrum Red, a wine created from dark red varietals that manages to be both playful and serious. It builds on the Wagner family’s long winemaking tradition of breaking tradition. Conundrum was inspired by Charlie Wagner Sr., co-founder of Caymus, who would sit at the dining room table and mix different wines to create something new to pair with his meal. Today, it’s his grandson who brings that same spirit to the pursuit of creating the best wine possible, year after year.
