Château La Cardonne, until 1990 was owned by the most famous wine producer in Bordeaux, Château Lafite-Rothschild, and sits on the highest plateau in the Médoc appellation. The wines are is vinified in a very elegant fruit-forward style, with ripe blackcurrant and plum fruit, balanced by a rich, medium to full-bodied palate, with cedary, pencil-shaving character and smooth silky tannins.
