This award-winning red blend is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Syrah. It is a deep, dark garnet color. On the nose it is rich, with the aroma of freshly squeezed juice from black currants and blackberries combined with notes of roasted coffee. On the palate the wine has firm powerful body with a very good tannin structure, well balanced by fresh fruit in the flavor. It has a long, spicy and juicy finish. This wine pairs well with duck, lamb (grilled, broiled), pasta with tomato sauce, grilled steak, venison; as well as with Brie, Camembert, Danish Bleu, and Sharp Cheddar.
