Amayna is a newish label from the Garcés Silva family, pioneers in Chile's wine industry. The Sauvignon Blanc comes from vineyards located in the Leyda Valley, which lies between the Coastal Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. The soils are poor, and the weather is dry, with cool breezes funneling into the valley from the ocean. Floral, with notes of tropical fruit, this fuller-bodied Sauv Blanc is delicious with tangy cheeses and white fish.
