The first thing 13th generation winemaker Albert Seltz did when he took over the family winery from his father at 19 was to rip out most of the vines. He then reduced production, cut the yields and converted the winery to strict, sustainable organic practices. So much for doing it like dear old dad. Dynamic, perhaps iconoclastic, to Seltz ?there are no bad years, just bad winemakers.
