With a beautiful pink blush and a clear appearance, this is a very fruity wine enhanced by notes of raspberries and strawberries.

The Broadbent Vinho Verde Rosé is made exclusively from red grape varieties. A soft crushing and pressing make it possible to gently extract the juice. The rosé must is clarified, resulting in a bright, clear wine. The final wine has vibrant aromas and flavors of fresh strawberry, pomegranate and orange zest, which are corralled by a pleasantly light spritz.

Vinho Verde means 'green wine' or 'young wine' and originated in the historic Minho province in the far north of Portugal and was officially designated in 1908. Made from local grapes such as Loureiro, Arinto, Trajadura, Avesso and Azal, Vinho Verde is light, fresh and fruity with an effervescent pétillance. It is a lovely summer wine at the beach, poolside or for Sunday brunch with its lower alcohol content.

This wine presents brilliant pink colour and a slight effervescence that favours the release of its fruity aroma. It reveals a great freshness on the mouth, with a vivid acidity resulting in a very pleasant and versatile wine.

Maria João Santos Lima and José Luís Santos Lima Oliveira da Silva, granddaughter and great grandson of the founder, relaunched Casa Santos Lima in 1990, replanting most of the vines, improving agricultural techniques and modernizing all its productive structure. Since 1996, Casa Santos Lima, started bottling its own brands, which immediately achieved great success both in national and international markets.

Pink color and lively strawberry and red currant flavor complemented with floral hints reveal the exuberance of the aroma. In the mouth its well balanced with good acidity and tart fresh fruit notes, young and crisp. It boasts a smooth, delicate finish.

The blend of these two parcels in the vineyard imbues the wine with a profound minerality and weight uncommon for Vinho Verde. Asnella is a singular expression of terroir that is a major departure from what most people associate with Vinho Verde. It shows remarkable concentration, length and minerality. This unique vineyard allows for an exposition of two different soil types and their effects on the resultant wine. The granite lends richness and weight, while the schist gives minerality, lift and precision.

The palate indicates a youthful but elegant, well-balanced and fresh wine with a long, lingering finish. Quite versatile food wine. Great with Portuguese dishes, such as tapenade, grilled fish or grilled shrimp. It is also excellent as an aperitif, on its own.
