Anterra, or “ancient land” in Italian, refers to the long, rich viticultural history of the peninsula. A keystone in winemaking and wine trading since ancient times, Italy has refined its viticulture over the centuries. Tapping into the vast knowledge bestowed by their ancestors, Anterra’s creators have made winemaking an art form. Merlot was first brought over to the northern provinces of Italy during the Napoleonic invasion of the early 19th century and later spread to the southern regions of the country. This Merlot stands out for its unique warm flavors. It is intense, fruity, dry and complex with light tannins. It is excellent with meats, flavorful soups and cheeses. Enjoy!

Stemmari Rosé is produced using an indigenous Sicilian varietal, Nero d’Avola. The grapes are cultivated on sandy soils in the Ragusa province. Careful management of the vineyards allows us to protect the grapes from the hot sunrays and preserve the natural freshness and acidity of the grapes. Strong notes of wild strawberry, typical of the Nero d_Avola. An exceptionally warm, delicate-structure that strikes the ideal balance between minerality and freshness. This wine pairs well with appetizers, as well as, light vegetables or white meat dishes. Enjoy!

Siciliani Nero d’Avola is Di Giovanna’s new stainless steel vinified Nero d’Avola. It expresses the unique character of Sicily’s native grape Nero d’Avola in a pure and completely enjoyable form!

Grillo and Cataratto grapes give this wine fresh Mediterranean scents and a savory, elegant flavor with a typical hint of bitter almonds. Piano Maltese is born at the heart of Tenuta Rapitalà, on gentle hills at 1200 feet above seal level. Terroir: Selected parcels of vines located at 1200 feet above sea level are trained by the Guyot system on clay soil with limited yields of 32 quintals per acre. Vinification: The grapes are harvested and vinified separately. The Grillo is harvested at the end of August, and the Catarratto is picked in the middle of September. The same vinification method is used for both varietals: crushing of the grapes and de-stemming, cooling of the must and gentle pressing is followed by division of the different qualities of the must and cold settling occurs before a slow fermentation. The wines rest on their lees before being blended and bottled in February following the harvest.

Sicilia, Italy- This medium-bodied wine features black cherry and raspberry fruit in an easy-drinking style. Made from 100% Nero d'Avola grapes, the wine also offers some hints of Mediterranean herbs. Try it with lasagna or veal (Fresh, Black Cherry, Raspberry, Medium-bodied)

This unique example of the native Sicilian Grillo is surprisingly concentrated and powerful, thanks to low yields from rigorous green pruning. The native grape is very prolific and can be uninteresting and watery without attentive vineyard management. It shows the typical characteristics of Grillo; aromatic with tropical fruit notes, melon and almond, fresh with a savory finish.

Harmonium is the winning combination of Nero d’ Avola’s strength and Firriato’s style. The goal with Harmonium was to create the “cru of crus” that offered all the manifestations of this eclectic vine’s richness. After 15 years of analysis and microvinification, Firriato identified three different crus in the 165 hectares of the Borgo Guarini Estate: Ferla, Lepre and Beccaccia, cultivating vines from three different Nero d’Avola clones. The complexity of the soil and climate conditions has allowed the different organoleptic characteristics of the three Single Vineyards to be highlighted. The Harmonium grapes are harvested at different times because they ripen at different times. They are vinified separately before being united into the blend behind the story of this iconic label.

Golden straw color. Fruity aromas of apples in creme, glazed apricot tart, fruit cup, and coconut brittle with a silky, crisp, dryish light body and a seamless, crisp buttered toast, sliced lemons, and cashew finish with a suggestion of oak flavor. An easy drinking, crisp pinot grigio that will pair with most anything.

WINE DESCRIPTION Nero d’Avola is the grape variety that best represents Sicily’s winemaking identity. This wine, obtained from grapes scrupulously chosen from the estate finest selection, expresses an absolute purity, a extraordinary elegance and a great aging potential. TASTING NOTES Deep ruby red. Complex and intense nose with notes of red fruit, currants, blueberries and cherries, together with dark spicy and toasty sensations coming from the aging in oak. Rich, structured and velvety sip with a polished aftertaste of fruit and sweet spice.
