Lambert De Seyssel Petit Royal

Lambert-De-Seyssel-Petit-Royal
The sparkling wines of Seyssel indulge in the same méthode traditionnelle production techniques used for Champagne, and Lambert de Seyssel takes it one step further by aging the Royal Seyssel for at least three years before disgorging it, giving the wine more complex, distinguished aromas and a fine perlage than the competition, which ages only the legal minimum of nine months. The house style is also quite dry (low dosage) in order to preserve the character of the grape varieties.

Domaine-Renardat-Fache-Bugey-Cerdon-Sparkling-Rose
The Bugey Cerdon region in south-eastern France is known for its unique sparkling rosés made from Gamay and Poulsard grapes. This one (a blend of 90% Poulsard and 10% Gamay) is produced by a father-and-son team who follow the technique called "ancestral method:" The grapes are picked by hand, then pressed and fermented in cold vats until the alcohol reaches about 6 degrees. After a light filtration that leaves most of the active yeast in the unfinished wine, it is bottled and continues its fermentation in the bottle. Bright, fruity, and refreshing, this sparkling wine is perfect for sipping poolside with friends. (Certified Organic)

GRAPE VARIETIES Grenache 50%, Cinsault 30%, Syrah 20% PRODUCTION TECHNIQUES The grapes were destemmed and each variety was vinified separately. Gentle pressing occurred with a pneumatic press; only the free-run juice is used for our Rosé. The fermentation occurred at 17°C in temperature-controlled stainless steel for 3 weeks. The wine was aged on its lees with regular stirring for 40 days in new coated cement vats. During the ageing process we look at maintaining a maximum fruit expression and concentration thanks to regular pumping-over. DESCRIPTION Pale salmon color. Complex nose with cherry and strawberry notes evolving towards soft candied fruit. The palate is rich and smooth with ripe red fruits and a well-balanced acidity.

La-Dentelle-Bugey-Cerdon-Sparkling-Rose
A very special, lightly-sweet sparkling rose from a tiny appelation between the Jura and Savoy. Made from 80% 100-year-old Poulsard and 20% 40-year-old Gamay, grown and vinified organically, and made by the ex-director (41 years!) of 3–Michelin-starred Georges Blanc in Vonnas. Gorgeous red fruits and rose petals dance elegantly with a little residual sugar and ample acidity to make for a perfect foil for your sweet tooth.

Bottex-Cerdon-Bugey-Rose-2014
Dry, crisp, fresh and incredibly fragrant, this sparkling wine is a terrific bargain. The good news is there are around 4,000 cases of it, although I do not know how much is imported by Kermit Lynch ... This cuvee may qualify as the 'wine bargain of the year.' A Champagne-like sparkling rose from the largely forgotten area of Bugey (which only received appellation status in 2009), this low alcohol (8%) offering is made from 90% Gamay and 10% Poulsard (an indigenous grape of the region)
