The color is a rich scarlet-red, with opulent aromas of blackberry, black cherry, cinnamon, nutmeg and a hint of caramel. The palate comes alive with flavors of ripe raspberries, strawberry jam, a dense blackberry core, warm gingerbread, and a hint of toffee. It is perfectly balanced with refreshing acidity, plush weight on the mid-palate and a wonderfully supple texture. The expansive fruit flavors carry through to a long, pure and persistent finish. When asked to describe this wine, I simply say it’s like a taste of Christmas, all year long.

Pretty aromas of lemongrass, grapefruit and honeysuckle lead to lush flavors of ripe pear, apple and hints of tangerine. Clean and crisp with traces of minerality on the palate, this wine has mouthwatering acidity and a light, tart finish making it especially food-friendly. SeaGlass Pinot Grigio is a natural with all kinds of seafood and lightly spicy Asian fare.

Katherine’s Vineyard Chardonnay is an ocean influenced, single vineyard expression of “refrigerated sunshine” in a glass – layered, elegant, distinct. Fresh granny smith apples, floral and spice aromas dominate the nose; pink grapefruit, tangerine, citrus blossom, and apple pie flavors are balanced by a bit of wet stone. The oak influence creates a nice mid-palate, yet the wine still shows a balanced acidity that carries through the long finish. Chardonnay is one of the most celebrated white wines in Santa Barbara County, California. All grapes from the Estate Vineyards are certified under the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance and Sustainability in Practice.

Mid-morning fog lifts to sunshine, with summertime temperatures in the low- to mid-90s. CROWN POINT VINEYARD: Crown Point is situated on the other side of the canyon in Happy Canyon, geographically 2 miles away from each other. Crown Point is an estate vineyard & winery located in the foothills of the Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara AVA.

Bright notes of Black Cherry, Rose Petals and Red Candy lift from the glass underlined with subtle hints of milk chocolate, candied orange rind and sweet Cinnamon spice. The palette is lively with juicy red fruit with excitable acidity and youthfulness. The wine finishes with an elegant tannin structure that lingers just the perfect amount and keeps you coming back for more.

Our Vineyard Block Estate series is comprised of special lots, hand selected by our winemakers from the most exclusive wine districts and vineyards. This Pinot Noir exhibits aromas of fresh loam, tobacco leaf, cedar and dried fruits. It is a medium bodied wine, ruby red in color with balanced acidity which enhances the bright flavors of cranberries, raspberries and cherry cola.

Set across a small creek from the rest of the vineyard, Block 5 tends to produce a wine a little darker and richer than in other parts of the vineyard. Here the soils tend to be a bit more red in color and we find more clay as well. This combination of soil, along with the parent rock found about three feet down, provides ‘Block 5’ the opportunity to produce a wine with bit more structure and depth. Arguably, this is hands down the finest vintage of Cuvee le Bec we have ever produced. There is a unique energy to this vintage that is captivating. With 50% Syrah in the blend, the 2014 has a darker edge with delicious fruit, earth, and spice that are the hallmarks of this wine. Deftly balanced with phenomenal mouthfeel, this could be the longest lived Cuvee le Bec ever produced. With aging potential up to 15-18 years, this, as always, is an incredible value!

A combination of both tank and barrel fermentations that are aged in neutral barrels. We source our fruit from three vineyards in Happy Canyon called Grassini, McGinley, and Star Lane. Varying soils of sand, shale and gravel at Star Lane and heavier clays with larger yellow and red chert, and serpentine rocks at both McGinley and Grassini.

Leading off the two Syrahs, the 2017 Syrah Cinematique comes from a great vineyard in the Ballard Canyon AVA and was destemmed and aged 20 months in 60% new French oak. Sexy notes of black raspberries, vanilla bean, bay leaf, ground pepper, and hints of crushed violets all emerge from this incredibly seamless, elegant, ethereal Syrah. Medium to full-bodied, deeply colored, and concentrated, it's no small wine, yet it always has a graceful, elegant style that builds beautifully with time in the glass. It has enough tannins to benefit from a year or three of bottle age and will drink brilliantly over the following decade or more.

Barbara's Signature Collection Clone 667 Pinot Noir is selected from the premier Pinot Noir blocks within the vineyard and is a distinct expression of our Estate in Santa Maria Valley, California. All grapes from our Estate Vineyards are certified under the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance and Sustainability in Practice. Cranberry, dark cherry, and blueberry fruit aromas and flavors combine with fresh earth and oak spice character, while full tannins carry this red wine through the finish.

La Passion du Diable is the dark light that drew us into this project. Always 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, it is our magnum opus. Our inspiration is drawn from the dense mystery surrounding Cabernet’s hold on our imaginations. Everything we have is brought to bear in this wine. STARLANE VINEYARD: Situated on the Eastern edge of Santa Ynez Valley in the Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara. With vineyard elevations ranging from 750 to 1550 feet above sea level, microclimates emerge within the site to produce a beautiful and diverse palette that helps create a distinct range of estate fruit hand.

Before she was the figurehead of the French Republic, symbol of Reason, and model for the Statue of Liberty, la Marianne was an anonymous peasant woman working for the Revolution. She captured the imagination of artists with her regal presence and strength. Although she was just like every other woman, there was an intangible magic about her. Chardonnay is the expected Californian white wine. La Marianne is classically California Chardonnay, but with its own power.
