Wine in Rheinhessen

I grow-up in vineyards along the famous river Rhein in the surrounding of Nierstein, an area with some of Germany’s warmest and driest climate. Overall, it has low precipitation, warm summers and mild winters. My soil easily heats up und distinguishes itself by a high mineral content which provides the wines with depth and body. After a very long ripening phase, only very healthy and fully ripe grapes are selected and gently pressed. Then starts a slow fermentation under controlled temperature conditions in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fruitiness. After fermentation yeasts were kept in the tanks for three months (“sur-lie”) to enhance complexity.

Flower Garden shows typical flavors of a Riesling from the Rheinhessen region: green apple, citrus aromas and a hint of flowers. On the palate good balance between acidity and sweetness. Goes great with fish, poultry, salads, light Asian cuisine or simply on its own.

A dry and elegant rosé with bright acidity, offering flavors of white peach and cherry. The rocky, limestone rich soil of our vineyard contributes texture and minerality to the wine, balancing and enhancing the fruity flavors. Our grower and co-winemaker Eckehardt Groehl practices sustainable farming and minimal intervention winemaking on his family estate in the Rheinhessen. Perfect for year-round enjoyment.

This Gewurztraminer has a soft, golden hue with fresh aromas of rose petals and apricots. It is semi sweet with a hint of spice and mild acidity.

Seebrich, Riesling Spatlese "Niersteiner Hipping", Rheinhessen, Germany 2012 [organic] 100% Riesling LIGHTLY SWEET & TART, GREEN APPLE, LEMON, PEACH & HONEY This is Spätlese reaching its logical conclusion - a perfect balance of refreshing acidity, and the lovely ripe fruit and honey character of grapes harvested slightly late. The Rhine's Nierstein village is home to the steep Hipping hillside vineyard, with its famous red slate and clay soil contributing a rich peach character to its wines. This one is a perfect example of the quality coming from this historic piece of land recognized as on of Germany's finest vineyards. Serving Suggestions: This is phenomenal with spicy dishes with undercurrents of sweetness such as Szechuan peppercorn squid. Smoked trout salad with sauerkraut and thin slices of apple & kiwi.

Berries, invigorating, easy to drink. Semi-sparkling, "the pink Fritz" comes from the German red-wine Portugieser and Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) grape varieties. Vinified rosé and effervesced, "the pink Fritz" refreshes best well chilled or on the rocks. Perfect with a sprig of mint for summer, sand and sunny spirits. Description: Bright pink with ruby highlights. Red fruit aromas such as red currant & raspberry. Vibrant citrus notes on the palate, fruit-driven with delicate spices and the dark berry aromas characteristic of these varieties. Pleasantly tingling. total acidity: 6,9 g/l residual sugar: 11,7 g/l alcohol: 11,0 %vol.
