MIRAFIORE €20.50 ADD + - This nebbiolo wine by Mirafiore is the result of a careful selection of the grapes. This is a wine with truly distinctive characteristics: a garnet red colour with ruby tints with spicy notes of nutmeg and tobacco, followed by ripe plum and tamarind. Soft and enveloping tannins introduce a final long-lasting balsamic flavour. Alcohol: 14% vol. Thanks to its warm balsamic notes, it is perfectly matched with rich first courses and main course meat dishes

The Guidobono estate was born from a dream of one day being able to produce great Barolo. The Faccenda family purchased the winery in 2003 and set about making that dream a reality. The vineyards lie just outside of the tiny hamlet of Monforte d’Alba,one of the most prestigious growing zones for the Nebbiolo grape. The vines are between 30 and 40 years old and the soil is of primarily limestone composition with some clay and sand. Guidobono’s wines are textbook interpretations of the indigenous grapes of the Langhe, driven by tradition. The Nebbiolos especially are austere yet approachable.

A maturing over the Nebbiolo wines have a bouquet with fruity and dried flowers, spices. On the palate the tannins are moderate. It is usually vinified alone to bring out all its features.

Arneis is a grape variety that has a long history in Piedmont, old documents testify its presence in 1200 after Christ, together with Nebbiolo. Our commitment is to express the tipicity of this variety and therefore enhance its unique aromas and flavours of white flowers, tropical fruits (pineapple, banana) and its softness and creaminess on the palate that make this wine enjoyable also when it is still young.

It is a meaningful gift and great ambassador of its land of origins. Montegrilli is born in the vineyards with the goal of becoming a genuine and focused wine, able to show the true personality of Nebbiolo grape. With this in mind, we produce a wine without any aging in wood in order to differentiate it clearly from Barolo, creating a product with great immediacy, freshness and drinkability.
