Our High Valley Zinfandel has a nose of strawberries, spice and soft vanilla. Its flavors are of ripe raspberry jam, exotic spices and cassis with a finish that lingers of silky tannins and vanilla.

Farmed from vines at 2400 ft. elevation in the Red Hills of California's North Coast, this mountain-inspired Cabernet Sauvignon is deliciously approachable. Mountain View Merlot Luis Felipe Edwards, Central Valley Grape Merlot Origin The Luis Felipe Edwards winery is the largest family-owned winery in Chile, still managed today by the founder and his three children. Winemaking here is managed by Nicolas Bizzarri, formerly of the famous Robert Mondavi wines in Napa Valley. Taste Aromas of ripe plums and strawberries, with faint notes of tomato leaf and sage. The palate has a thick and jammy feel, with soft, mature tannins and a rounded, easy style.

Our family vineyard is situated at an elevation of 2,129 feet in the Lake County AVA. Planted from old California Zinfandel clones, including the DuPratt and Deaver clones, on St. George rootstock. The combination of high altitude, long growing season and well-drained rocky red soil creates the ideal balance for producing outstanding Zinfandel. After hand-sorting and destemming the clusters, we gave the grapes a five-day, whole-berry cold soak for maximum flavor and color extraction. After fermenting the wine for about one week in stainless steel, we aged it for 10 months in 30% new French oak to add complexity to the rich fruit character.
