Chateau-Cantemerle-Haut-Medoc-2011
This stunning vintage has been somewhat overshadowed by the quality of the two preceding years, but is now being discovered for its flattering character. With its beautiful deep color and discreet spicy aromas, this wine shows a stunning youth, firmness and complexity. Decanting before service will reward one with fine aromas of coffee, cedar and black currant which will allow it to perfectly accompany an omelette with wild mushrooms or a variety of French cheeses. However there’s no rush: this wine will continue to age well in a good cellar

Chateau Larose-Trintaudon Haut-Medoc

Chateau-Larose-Trintaudon-Haut-Medoc
This Château Larose Trintaudon Haut-Medoc lives up to region's reputation not only with its intense fruit, but with stellar balance, lovely fine tannins and just the right amount of acidity. Its power and density will satisfy mightily with lamb and meat dishes, especially beef. Pour your first glass and enjoy it with a hearty Tuscan chicken liver paté on rustic toast. Having a little bowl of Spanish Marcona almonds nearby wouldn't hurt either. We love this rich, beautifully defined Haut-Medoc and its earthy tobacco nuances with a roast leg of lamb served with a broccoli rabe gratinée. Formidable! A lighter alternative would be a garganelli pasta with fresh lamb sausage, zucchini and tomato. The labor involved in duck confit is worth it for this Château Larose-Trantaudon. Heavenly together. A rich, crisp-skinned roast goose with a red wine, cherry reduction will bring out the abundant, dark fruit of this Bordeaux. It's perfectly acceptable to end the meal savoring another glass or two of the silky sweetness of this beau Bordeaux's texture and tannins all by itself. If you have room left, however, we suggest a woodsy French Banon goat cheese. Can we get an Ooh La La winelovers??! "Bon vin" indeed...
Chateau Fleur la Mothe Haut Medoc

Chateau-Fleur-la-Mothe-Haut-Medoc
The La Fleur de Mothe is a blend of 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot and 12% Petit Verdot. Matured in around 35% new oak, it has a clean, fresh, quite perfumed bouquet with blackberry, raspberry and graphite scents, a touch of violet emerging with time. The palate is well balanced with a fresh, sappy entry. There is good depth here, a gentle grip and feels quite solid and firm, suggesting that it will benefit from a couple of years in bottle. But there is plenty of freshness from start to finish and it will mature well over the next six to eight years. Tasted at the Oenoconseil tasting room in Bordeaux.

Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc When young, Chateau Magnol shows a brilliant rich ruby color. On the nose it develops an elegant and fruity bouquet, favored by the blackcurrant notes of the Cabernet Sauvignon and the redcurrant notes of the Merlot. On the palate the wine is full bodied, with soft silky tannins, and a long spicy aftertaste. Ageing brings a fine maturity where it developed toasted oak flavors.
