Wine in Colorado

A combination of raisin, tobacco and Portobello mushroom fill the nose yet the palate is filled with black cherry and vanilla, backed with cocoa and dried fig. Robust tannins help give this wine an almost gamey note. Pair this with braised meats or some unique and different sausages… or indulge and break out the filet mignon.

Like a bowl of fresh summer berries drizzled with cream. Intense strawberries and raspberries burst on the palate with light carbonation, great acid and a hint of residual sugar. Easy to open, easy to drink, easy to recycle.

Our Rosé with Bubbles is all about texture. The medium- bodied, crisp rosé with notes of strawberries, cranberries, white peach and rose petal explodes from the glass with a quick, bright effervescence. As the bubbles subside, the wine opens up with ripe citrus and apple on the palate. A lively, lingering finish brings you back for another sip.

Loads of upfront starfruit on the nose with white peach, citrus and cardamom following. The light carbonation lifts the citrus fruits on the palate to a smooth and refreshing finish. Special feature: Shotgunnable (ask anyone!).

Bright and zesty, our Pinot Gris blend pours a pale, brilliant white. Bursting with aromas of grapefruit, lime zest, just-ripe peach, honeydew melon and wet stone, this wine leads with a bold acidity, a lean midpalate with citrus and mineral notes, and a refreshing, mouthwatering finish.

Estate Grown Tempranillo grapes. Crushed, cold soaked, and pressed in a single long day, our rosé is refreshing but still bold and dry to keep it interesting. Strawberry, honeydew, and cantaloupe all feature prominently in the aroma while secondary aromas of grapefruit and a hard to define herbal quality add complexity. Strawberry is also chief in flavor, with hints of watermelon and fresh mint. A wine that’s easy-drinking enough to have by itself, or as a quick upgrade to taco night.

Balistreri Vineyards is a family owned and operated winery located in Denver Colorado. Winemaker John Balistreri makes wine in a traditional and handcrafted style with no sulfites or additives and are unfiltered. "We are starting with the finale. This Sangiovese from the Talbott Vineyard, is the last. The vineyard has been dying slowly and this past spring the vines were taken out. Fortunately for us all, this last bottling is one of the greatest. Pure and delicate aromas of Strawberry mingle with freshly washed fennel and subtle star anise. The approach on your palate is soft, savory and refreshing right before you’re met with classic ample tannin. Acidity is balanced and presents the wine elegantly. This Sangiovese is the perfect wine to drink now while it is juicy and young, but age it, and allow the tannins to mellow and unwrap this final gift. Cheers."
