The vinification procedure for Barolo Riserva Rüncot includes alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with daily pumping over. After completing first alcoholic, then malolactic fermentation, the wine mature in barriques of French oak. Bottling normally in August, the Barolo Riserva Rüncot then stays in the binning cellar for 18-24 months before release.

Thanks to its vines dating back to 1949, a dramatic diuturnal temperature range and this pure light, Bricco delle Viole generates a sophisticated and profound Barolo of bright aromatics, chiselled tannins and subtle minerality.

The natural richness of this site marries with the translucence of the year to produce a weightless yet powerful, highly nuanced Barolo that hits all the right notes. Dark cherry, lavender, spice, mint, rose petal and licorice develop in the glass, but it is the interplay of richness and lightness that elevates the Parafada into the realm of the truly sublime.

The color is deep garnet red with orange reflections accented with shades of pink and purple. Intense and persistent, ethereal with notes of fruit and dried flowers. It has evident aromas of sweet spice, toast and leather. Of remarkable structure, enhances tannins but remain soft and pleasant with typical austerity; full-bodied and very charming.

Color:Medium brick-red. Nose: Plum, underbrush, chestnut, dried herbs, spices and truffle, along with an exotic suggestion of apricot. Flavor: Sweet and minerally with good acid, firm finish, but long and aromatic, with notes of herbs, spices and seared meat.
