10th generation winegrower Markus Huber manages this 200+ year-old family operation, and it is under his expert leadership that Huber Hugo has gained international recognition as the star of Austria's Traisental region. His Hugo family of wines represent excellent values for everyday drinking. Made from a blend of Zweigelt and Pinot Noir from small single vineyards in the Traisental, this delicate and fresh sparkling rose offers juicy berry fruit and spice aromas and flavors with hints of mineral and citrus. It is dry (12g/l), with lively acidity and a creamy mousse. Crisp, fruit-driven yet creamy on the palate, this is a delicious sparkler to have on hand for easy entertaining. Serve chilled chilled and pair with white meats or grilled fish.
Our estate-grown Knobstone Reserve is an intense, fortified red wine. During maceration brandy is added to kill off yeast, arrest the fermentation, and preserve the natural sugars produced in the grapes. Knobstone Reserve is made from 100% Chambourcin grapes. The wine is aged for a minimum of five years in oak barrels. This process yields a bold, fruity dessert wine bursting with fruit and complexity. Enjoy the plum, fig, and caramel notes of this wine after dinner or with your favorite desert.

Numerous small-scale agricultural farms are scattered throughout the Traisental valley. Vineyards here are not much bigger than the average family garden – yet they are farmed with lots of love and care, because the age of vines and the uniqueness of the soil is an incredible treasure. The grapes harvested here are the foundation for some of the most important wines of the winery and of the region: Grüner Veltliner Traisental DAC and Riesling Traisental DAC.
Fully ripe sour cherries on the nose; very fruity style; compact on the palate; fine tannins; flavours of red berries and prunes echoed by minty tones.
