James Halliday-Hunter Valley, New South Wales, Australia- Only a small portion of Vat 1 is released when young to its mail list customers; the wine has very good structure to its citrus and mineral flavours; despite its alcohol, is very tight and focused, ready for the decades to come. (Elegant, Citrus, Lemon, Medium-bodied)
The nose is clean with a hint of lemon richness, the palate continues with fresh citrus and concentrated grapefruit flavours. The finish is pleasing with a balance of fruit and soft acid. A great match to any shellfish.
Hunter Valley, Australia- Vibrant pale yellow/lime in color, the wine is typical of a younger Semillon showing clean, rich characters with slight citrus and lemon overtones. The palate has good fruit intensity with a soft, rich, lingering aftertaste of lemon/lime and honey (Crisp, Citrus, Lemon, Light-bodied)
Aromas of regional ripe plum, dark cherries with hints of white pepper and sweet vanillin. The flavors carry onto the palate which is full of big soft fruit, balanced by minerality, elegant oak and natural acid. Rich, with a complex and fresh structure.
