The Goat Rock Syrah is a dark inky color with a dense texture. The wine opens with bright aromas of blackberry and ripe boysenberry. The aromas lead to a rich palate of juicy black fruits, black pepper and brown spice. For maximum flavor and care, the grapes are brought into the winery and fermented in small five ton fermenters; punchdowns are done by hand. Each lot spends 11 months in 75 percent new French oak to add to the complexity and mouthfeel.
