The nose of this wine makes one think of cool tropical breezes with gentle aromatics of passion fruit and Guava. Further investigation reveals the essence of subtle oak, cinnamon and green apples. The mouth texture is “oh so creamy” and almost soft, but has a definite crispness to its edges. We roll this Chardonnay around our palates and hear comments of, “nectarine, lemon, and apricot”. This is a beautifully balanced wine with just the right core of acidity and flavor. Its profile is broad and round with a finish of elegant oak. There’s a romantic quality to the wine with its sexy, brilliant flavors and soft, creamy texture. Think bare skin rugs and a fireplace and you might get yourself into a little trouble.
Dark, fathomless color. Big, brooding, blackberry-fruited nose with a touch of cocoa leaf. Concentrated mouth feel. Has real power and broad tannin shoulders. Not for the faint of heart. The tannins add grip to the very rich black fruit. The finish is blackberry with Southwest Indian spice, black pepper, and a splash of clove and Ceylon cinnamon. Classic Yamhill-Carlton Pinot noir.
Brilliant ruby-red. Heady, exotically perfumed aromas of black raspberry, cola, Asian spices, vanilla and pungent flowers, with a bright mineral quality adding lift. Offers intense, palate-staining dark berry and rose pastille flavors that become spicier and weightier with air. The mineral element returns on the subtly tannic finish, adding focus and cut to the persistent blackberry and cherry-cola flavors.
