The Rickshaw Sauvignon Blanc is a nice blend of tropical fruit notes framed by a slight savory touch. It opens up with beautiful aromatics of jasmine, white peach, passion fruit, and a slight hint of fresh meadow. Flavors of candied lemon, orchard fruits, mint, sage and the slightest tropical hint of guava on the zippy frame. With great acidity and minerality, this wine begs for repeated gulps.
This time last year, Chardonnay wasn’t even a blip on the radar screen. Not that we are all snobby and uppity about Chardonnay, mind you. We are just a little bit…particular. So when our RICKSHAW customers started asking about Chardonnay, we sat back, pondered and wrestled with the idea, and decided to move the concept from the “meh” column to the “yeah?” column.
Dark currant, espresso, black plum and pencil lead show up in the glass. A choice parcel of Malbec from near Oakville really adds new dimension to the wine. it remains an incredibly versatile Cabernet that will work with anything from steak to tuna with ease.
