Pale pink in colour, the glass is brimming with Okanagan summer red berries, pink grapefruit and a touch of white pepper spice that entices to a fresh dry finish. The perfect pairing for being on a patio or poolside.
Our 2014 Icewine has intense aromas of ripe mango and pineapple with hints of quince and orange. On the palate, the wine is lusciously sweet yet perfectly offset by mouth-watering citrus orange acidity on a long and lingering finish. Serve well chilled with tarte tatin, crème brülée and thoroughly recommended with local blue cheeses.
Chasselas was the first vinifera grape planted on our estate and has a long history at the property. As one of the most iconic wines at Quails’ Gate, this white blend is made in a fresh, fruit-forward style to complement those long summer days. We’re proud to share that the varietal is the number one selling BC VQA white wine in British Columbia.
Round and rich with attractive golden appear and yellow pear aromas and flavours. Almost full-bodied with a mouth-filling roundness.
Pale lemon in the glass, honeysuckle, grass, citrus, pear and melon mingle together on the nose. The palate is dry with surprisingly complex with beautifully balanced acidity, lovely weight and mid-palate texture, along with its characteristic stony mineral note. This wine is made for fresh, sustainable, BC seafood, including freshly shucked oysters on the half shell, wild BC spot prawns, mussels and ceviche. We also recommend pairing with local goat cheese salads.
This is one of our winery’s most popular wines and for very good reason. It offers tremendous value for the price and is made in an aromatic, fruity, easy drinking style. Our Gewürztraminer is a valley blend sourced from vineyards here on the property along with fruit from our vineyards in South East Kelowna.
The 2015 Pinot Noir is medium bodied and shows great complexity and length with attractive, juicy red berried fruit and subtle oak influence.Classic Pinot Noir, with notes of cherry, raspberry and plum fruit with allspice, earth, dried herbs and savory notes. The balance of fruit, acidity and light tannins make this a very versatile food wine. We suggested roasted chicken, grilled BC salmon and duck dishes. For vegetarians, beet, mushroom and French lentil dishes make great pairings. We recommend serving at around 15°C to enhance your tasting experience.
The warm growing season of 2014 provided us with some intensely flavoured Merlot grapes. The wine boasts aromas of rich black cherry, smoky plum, spice and toasty oak. The palate is rich and full-bodied with firm structured tannins and a long finish. We suggest pairing with similarly bold foods; braised short ribs, lasagna, bison burgers and an array of aged hard cheeses.
