New release! Our 2016 Rosé is a Merlot/Cabernet Franc blend with delicate aromas and flavors of raspberries, strawberries and watermelon. Perfect, vibrant wine for spring/summer 2017! 100% estate fruit from the Macari family farm in Mattituck.
This refreshing new release from 2016 is zippy and complex and was fermented 100% in stainless steel. Known as one of our top bottlings and to be the top New York version of this grape. The wine is complex and layered: melon and stone fruits on the nose and lemon-lime, peach and pear flavors on the palate.
Our Dos Aguas blend represents the “two waters” that surround our vineyard on the North Fork of Long Island. To the south of our vines lies The Great Peconic Bay and to the north, the Long Island Sound. These two bodies of water create a unique climate that protects our vineyard and encourages a slow, steady ripening. “Entre Dos Aguas” is also one of Alexandra Macari’s favorite flamenco songs by Spanish flamenco guitarist, Paco de Lucia.
An enticing nose of raspberry, bay leaf, and tobacco. Medium bodied with flavors of ripe red pitted fruits, dark cherry, plums and chewiness. The Macari family history of making wine dates back to a basement in Corona, Queens in the early 1900s. A tribute to the Macari family’s continued winemaking and Italian heritage, Collina, (Italian for “hill”), takes its name from the Mattituck Hills, sand bluffs facing the Long Island Sound on Macari’s farm.
