This young gris leads with a faint spritz of citrus. It's quite lean with a texture that's steely and mineraly. Organically grown grapes are vinified in all stainless steel, resulting in this fresh, delightfully textural wine. It's clean and crisply delicious.

Temperance Hill Vineyard is a 100-acre vineyard made up of roughly 20 different blocks of wine grapes. The site itself is 200 acres (lots of room to grow) in the west Eola Hills, just west of Salem, Oregon. It has an elevation range of 660 to 860 feet making it a cool, late site. Since 1985, Wren Vineyard, on Dai's 100 acre family farm, has grown to 15 acres. It is planted in Pommard Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Dijon clone 76 Chardonnay. Elevation is 300 - 500 feet with direct south facing exposure. It is an extremely cool site prone to frost. An overhead frost protection system makes it possible to farm wine grapes here. And when we do see a crop through the entire season without any frost these grapes make a most stunning wine.
