This wine is a dense, inky-purple color with an enticing nose displaying aromas of ripe blackberries, blood plum and dark cherry. Bold flavors of blackberry and liquorice combined with a subtle hint of sweet mint combine to create this stylish, medium bodied red.
Cool climate coastal fruit has been used in the production of this wine. It was fermented in small, open topped fermenters with the cap being hand-plunged 2-3 times a day for gentle tannin and flavour extraction, and then gently pressed off after ferment giving this wine a silky smooth, seductive palate.
