Illario is an expressive rose produced from Tuscany’s signature varietal, Sangiovese, named in honor of the proprietor’s father whose middle name was Illario. A well-structured wine through the engaging finish layered with aromas of sweet red cherries and tart raspberries and notes of violets and herbs. It is fresh with bright acidity making it an ideal food wine. Following fermentation in stainless steel, this wine was aged for 3 months on the fine lees prior to bottling adding depth. Made from 100% certified organic Sangiovese grapes.
The name Pagliatura, meaning “hay,” references the golden color of the wine. White peach, apple, and pear aromas abound, while floral notes further enhance the bouquet. A hint of mint adds an interesting component to the flavor profile. Vinified in stainless steel to allow maximum fruit expression, the wine is refined on the fine lees for 3 months. Although bottle aged for an additional 6 months, this wine remains fresh. A savory wine to enjoy with a meal.
Produced from a single vineyard whose name references the steep slopes that are considered a “beast” to cultivate by the vineyard workers, the label artistically reflects this characteristic. Sinarra, meaning “to tell a story,” recounts a beautiful expression of Sangiovese cultivated in the Maremma Toscana. Fruit-forward with fresh notes of blackberries and blueberries, and herbaceous notes. A full-bodied, perfectly balanced red aged in cement vats for 6 months, then cellared for an additional 6. The perfect conversation-starter, the Etruscan alphabet adorns the label – the base of communication.
This Morellino takes its name from Etruscan times, when the town of Magliano was known as Heba. The label bears the image of a sculpture uncovered nearby which dates back to that era. This wine is smooth, defined by succulent cherries, sweet spices, and fragrant florals. An inviting wine with juicy fruit flavors and fresh, pleasant acidity. The tannins are round and ripe. Aged 4-6 months in cement vats, followed by 6 months in bottle.
On the nose, the wine is vegetal with hints of red fruit, spice, and light smoky notes. On the palate, the wine is very aromatic, round and fresh. Altizi is a full bodied wine with velvety tannins and beautiful notes of blueberries, currants, raspberries that finishes with a subtle note of licorice.
