Our 2013 Viognier from Deux Vert Vineyard in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA represents what we love about Viognier... a lush aromatic nose tempered by lean acidity and minerality. We think what makes this Viognier unique is that it is from a single vineyard in the cool climate Willamette Valley and that we ferment it entirely in small lot stainless steel drums, allowing us to increase complexity by using different yeasts. Wine Spectator has rated a prior vintage of our Viognier a 90.
The Kalita is the Michael Phelps of the line-up. The wine is consistent, impressive, powerful, and highly lauded. The 2010 has a black fruit profile accented by cola and spice and backed by well-placed tannins. Its expressiveness on the palate and long finish make it a crowd pleaser that we hope you will enjoy with filet mignon, beef bourgunoine, or short ribs accented with cocoa or coffee.
