Riesling is the king of Alsatian wine and the love of the Faller family. The grapes used in the varietal wines come from younger vines planted in the estate vineyard, Clos des Capuchins. The resulting wine is dry, racy, and penetrating, with delicate fruit and a bouquet of great finesse.
The aromas are evocative with notes of rose petals and exotic fruit. Slightly off-dry on the palate, this vintage unveils a bouquet of ripe cantaloupe, guava, and nectarine aromas which are balanced with delicate spices such as ginger and cardamom. The finish is long and elegant.
On the nose, golden raisins come to mind. It is very sweet and very candied with clove and intense brioche notes. A very classy Gewurztraminer with tons of butter and honey on the finish.
Reveals fine notes of roses and white tea, with a hint of pink pepper for vivacity. Though closer to dry, the natural sweetness of the grape gives body to the wine to give a juicy impression mid-palate and a long lasting finish.
Elegant, well-balanced, and dry with bright fruit, this wine combines freshness and suppleness and offers very good palate presence. The origin is the domaine vineyard, Clos des Capucins, and a plot in the Cuvée Laurence vineyard.
