From a two-and-a-half-hectare vineyard of that name, a plot on a steep east-facing slope with a very rocky limestone soil. The chalky soil brings out the characteristic flinty, mineral and green notes of Sauvignon Blanc. On La Garenne's well-drained, warm slopes the grapes achieve exceptional ripeness and fruit.
Domaine Gerard Metz is located in the picturesque and charming village of itterswiller on the eastern slope of the vosges mountains in the heart of alsace. the estate includes 12 hectares of vines with diverse soils. the estate is run as organically as possible (lutte raisonee). produced from around 90% pinot blanc and 10% chardonnay grapes, this sparkler is made by methode champenoise, just as is champagne. this wine is crisp, dry, soft and fresh. there is a persistent stream of bubbles and an elegant champagne-like creaminess to the wine. bright white fruit is dominant on both the nose and palate, making this a perfect aperitif wine!
A deep purplish red colour, very clear, a guarantee of maturity. Traditional Pinot noir. At first cherries, blackberries and mirabelles aromas with a jam touch. Then the controlled yields bring a spicy note. The whole is rich and balanced. Clean and lingering. The entry has typical flavours like blackcurrant, mirabelles and very ripe cherries, which makes you want to know more. Smooth tannins carry on, while keeping a sweet and fruity entry. The finish shows that you can drink this wine now, or it will also keep a few years. Please contact support@drizly.com or the store for vintage information
