The 2012 Pinot Noir Gaps Crown is one of the darker, more virile wines in this range. Red and purple leaning fruit, smoke, game, leather and spices are some of the many notes that flesh out in Sean Capiaux's Pinot Noir Gaps Crown. The 2012 is rich and expansive to the core, but with no sense at all about heaviness.
The 2012 Pinot Noir Chimera is the most subtle and layered of Sean Capiaux's three 2012 Pinots. Sweet tobacco, anise, herbs, red cherries, mint and licorice meld together as the 2012 opens up in the glass. This elegant, polished Pinot should drink well for at least another handful of years.
Medium dark red color with a brilliant purple hue appearance, this wine has a beautiful dark red cherry, cranberry, plum cola, strawberry and vanilla aromas. Earthy, sarsaparilla and raspberry flavors balance out the tannin/acid ratio.
