From our growing partner on the western hillside of Spring Mountain separating Sonoma and Napa Counties. Kick Ranch Vineyard has an amazing mix of volcanic and rocky soils that contribute a rich minerality. This is a truly vibrant, complex expression of Sauvignon Blanc. Aromas of orange blossom, honeysuckle, and candied grapefruit zest explode from the glass. The fleshy, but structured palate adds notes of tangerine, lime, and wet stone culminating in a lengthy, subtly savory finish.
Fresh raspberries starts off the nose with red fruits punctuated by rich strawberry jam, and bolstered by vanilla, black pepper, and violets. It is a bold, layered wine offering generous fruit enveloping great structure. Showing notes of blackberry, dried currants, mocha, it continues onto the palate with a supple texture that is lifted by vibrant acidity. The finish lingers with young, yet integrated tannins and dusty earth. It will cellar for 10+ years or pair very well with food now.
