The 2013 vintage is exuberant and effusive in the glass. The bouquet offers enticing aromas of citrus blossom, lemongrass, pineapple candy and ripe white peach. Subtle undertones of citrus, spice drops and a distinctive, flinty minerality carry on throughout and linger on the clean, lasting finish.
Sourced from a site with distinctive soils and sun exposures, our Dundee Hills Chardonnay embodies everything we’ve come to revere about this noble variety. The wine’s pronounced acidity is beautifully countered by an approachable freshness in the form of peach, nectarine, and candied citrus flavors. The warm nature of the Dundee Hills appellation affords a slightly round, rich texture, pulled taut by the highly influential volcanic soils and their signature offering of brightness and minerality.
The fruit for our Eola-Amity Hills Chardonnay was sourced exclusively from select vineyard sites featuring rocky, volcanic soils. This is a zesty, refreshing expression of Chardonnay, with bright fruit flavors laid against touches of spice and chalky minerality. The wine opens with notes of fresh lemon and lime, with secondary citrus characteristics of lemon peel and tangerine. Hints of ripe green apple, warm honeysuckle, and white peppercorn lead to a pleasant finish with plenty of natural, lively acidity.
Looney Vineyard is located in one of the Willamette Valley’s newest and smallest AVAs, Ribbon Ridge. Deep maroon and captivatingly ruby red in color, our Looney Vineyard Pinot Noir is pleasing to the eyes and even more compelling on the palate. Aromatically driven by blackberry and spicy oak nuance, the marine sedimentary soil gives the wine a cocoa-like texture. A pronounced acidity and graceful tannins lead the wine to a long, satisfying finish.
Our Whole Cluster Cuvée is a blend of estate Pinot Noir utilizing the Old World technique of conducting primary fermentation while grapes are still attached to their stems. Baking spice, cinnamon, and green peppercorn jump from the glass with undertones of ripe bing cherries. This Pinot Noir captures the Dundee Hills AVA at its core with a cornucopia of supple, fresh, red fruits.
